Is your child’s asthma well controlled?
You have two or three different medications. When are you supposed to use each one?
Do these medications have side effects you need to be looking out for?

I get to spend a lot of time talking to parents about the medications they use to control their children’s asthma, so I know how confusing it can be sometimes.

This week, I go through the types of symptoms we look for to help know whether a child’s asthma is well controlled. I also talk about when you should seek additional help from your pediatrician if it doesn’t seem like things are going particularly well.

I then break down the most common medications used by primary care pediatricians to keep asthma under control.

I hope you find this episode helpful. If you have questions please send them to me at the email or social links below and I will include them in next week’s Q&A podcast or one of my upcoming social posts.
