Welcome back to the Docs2Dads Podcast. I am happy to be concluding my Raising Resilient Kids series with one last tool for your Resilient Kids Tool box: Perspective Taking.

Overall, these tools are
1) Safety and Security
2) Compassionate Predictable Availability
3) The Emotional Container

4) Building Empathy by practicing seeing the world through someone else’s eyes.

As will all skills we want to teach our kids, they learn this by seeing us practice them first. When your child is upset, we demonstrate the value of this skill by seeking to understand what they are feeling and why.  Only then can you work together to find the appropriate response.

Our community is here to help you: 💪up your game as a JOY-FILLED dad 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 be the leader your family needs you to be ❤️‍🩹build a happier, healthier life for yourself, your family, and your community.
